GRANDMA is HAPPY

New Fabric at C the World of Quilting

Hello....everyone!!!

It is the first of November already... Am I imagining things, but did October go flying by. I really think time has it's own speed limit. I think I know what the problem is..  I am moving so slow that time is passing me by. That must be the problem!! If you noticed the Grandma jumping up and down on the right side and happy, it should be me. I think I am finally going to retire, (2nd time). The company I work for is laying off a number of workers, (me included) so instead of finding more work. I have decided to retire permanently. I have plenty to keep me busy. I just need to make more money on my web store.  So if there are any new customers out there I could use them. I have nice fabric and reasonable prices, it would not hurt to check it out and do some window shopping as they say. You might find just the color or print you have been looking for. You can sign up at my comments and I can get your email out on my new (News Letter) I am working on.  http://www.ctheworldofquiltingcom/
Now I should have more time for Blogs and communication and or advertising.

How are all the new projects going on, I have a new one started called CRUMB CHAOS BLOCKS.
I found the photo tutorial on http://quiltingisstillmypassion.blogspot.com/ . The quilters name is Patti, and as soon as I saw the tutorial I loved it. I plan to email her and let her know how things are going. After I get some blocks done I will show pictures. I am going to put her link on my Web Store too, I have different links at the bottom of my home page to check out.  I have a link to the BeeHive Guild I belong to, I stay so busy I don't get to share with everyone, but I have a spot for some of their riddles and what I call funny funny's.

Well I guess I will stop for a quick break, and would like to here from some quilters out there..

FALL IS HERE AND WINTER IS ON THE WAY

Hello out there..

How is the quilting world doing these nice cool day's we have?
Fine I hope, I have a sample of 3 New Fabrics I put up on the web store. They can be used for children or many other quilt idea's. The fish can be cut out and used for applique, and the little patch look can be used for block's. There is always a way  for fabric to be used some where in quilting or where we least expect it.
I still have the sale on the Bargain Fabric's, @ $2.50 a yard, they are very good quality. The patterns and color's are all end of series from big co. I pick beautiful colors and patterns to use with quilts, adults and children. So jump at the prices while you can. I do need to reduce inventory so I can start to pick up more discontinued series that will be coming out. See the Web store @

I am working on some of my UFO's slowly but surely. The reversible is coming along, I am thinking of putting it in a quilt contest of sorts. I just need to put the blocks together and put a border on, being a reversible the quilting is done on each individual block. It has the look of a cabin quilt design. So I have to get a move on.  Since my moving, I had some of the wind knocked out, and some health problems, but will keep on trying.

I look forward to having a chance to post pictures on the blog of some one's beautiful quilt. So send them in my comments or at the store and lets show them off. The quilt at the right of the bolg in white/yellow/blue is one of my UFO's.When I finish it I will post it and see what everyone thinks of it.

I wonder if I could get some feed back from the quilters out there! Just put a quick comment or contact at the store on how you feel about buying fat quarters , strips, or straight yardage. Which would you find easier to sew and work with. I promise not to solicitate or send emails (bug you). I just need an idea how things are going to help my web store customers. Things change out there and somtimes talking about what you need can help.

What do some quilters think about the look of a border around the quilt being small or large?  Does it depend on the size of the quilt or the pattern?? I have all these questions and need some feed back to help finish the quilt on the right and my reversible. Here or at the store.  Please!!

Well I guess I have Yakked enough. See you at the store and if you have questions or Idea's let me know on my contact page.
